Because of social constructs and parental pressure, I spent decades trying to force myself into being a \"proper\" graphic designer. Foksy is the moniker of UK-based artist, illustrator and graphic designer David Garb\u00e9. Born in France and raised in Australia, Foksy was birthed during an undisclosed period of the 20th century. Foksy\u2019s artistic style is a chaotic mixture of heavy lines, outdoor obsession and a healthy dose of cartoon mischief.<\/p>
(Alright, I will now stop writing in the third person).<\/em><\/p> Over 20 years ago, I left Australia with a plan to travel Europe for eight months. I never really made it back. Instead, I spent a while chasing waves in the UK and hunting fresh snow across the French Alps and the Canadian Rockies. I even spent a chunk of time playing in a band between the Alps and the UK.<\/p> Eventually, the wandering slowed down and I settled in the UK. I was working the 9-5 where my mind was always elsewhere. To save my pea brain, I started drawing after work and on weekends.
